August 28, 2026 (Friday), 9:30 p.m.
Garden of Mindfulness at the Wałeckie Cultural Center
Free admission
The Film Discussion Club, affiliated with the Wałcz Cultural Center and the Tęcza Cinema, invites you to an outdoor screening of the film “Too Bad It’s Finally Here,” directed by Sebastian Juszczyk. The screening will be preceded by a brief introduction by Martyna Wróbel, who leads the Wałcz Film Discussion Club.
The film’s protagonist is Jacek “Budyń” Szymkiewicz—a vocalist, songwriter, and co-founder of the bands Pogodno and Babu Król. The documentary was created using archival footage and interviews with his family, friends, and musicians who knew him and worked with him. Among them are Katarzyna Nosowska, Krzysztof Zalewski, Stanisław Soyka, and Lech Janerka. The film also explores themes of creativity, relationships, mental health, and the price one sometimes pays for living in harmony with one’s own sensibilities.
The screening will take place after a concert by Joanna Ewa with Drzewo and Bojkot, so we encourage you to spend the entire evening with us at the Garden of Mindfulness.
After the screening, we invite you to join us for a casual discussion about the film. This is a regular feature of our Film Discussion Club meetings and a great opportunity to share your impressions.
