A WEEKEND OF ORIENTEERING IN ZŁOCIEŃC!

This coming weekend in March, the Drawsko County will become the venue for a sporting competition for orienteering enthusiasts. On March 28–29, 2026, Złocieniec will host a two-day sporting event that will attract competitors from across the region. The organizers promise exciting competition, challenging courses, and a great atmosphere surrounded by nature. The competition program includes three races held over two days. On Saturday, March 28, participants will compete in the third round of the Pomerania and Kujawy Championships in the middle-distance race, as well as in the Drawsko County Championships in the sprint race. Sunday, March 29, will bring another sporting challenge—the fourth round of the Pomerania and Kuyavia Championships, which will also serve as the West Pomeranian Province Championships in the classic race. Orienteering is a discipline that requires not only good physical condition but also the ability to make quick decisions, read maps, and navigate the terrain. Competitors will have to locate designated checkpoints in the field, choosing the optimal route and running pace. The organizers are preparing courses of varying difficulty levels, allowing both experienced runners and younger participants to take part in the competition. The event is organized by the TRAPER Student Sports Club from Złocieniec, which has been actively promoting orienteering and sports among children, youth, and adults for many years. The club is known for organizing numerous sporting events and training young athletes who successfully compete in regional and national competitions. The sports weekend is not only about competition but also an opportunity for the sports community to come together and spend time actively. The organizers invite residents of the Drawsko County and visitors to cheer on the competitors and participate in the event. Registration for all three races is open until March 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM via the registration form available on the Polish Orienteering Federation’s website. Residents of Złocieniec can participate in the competition free of charge by sending their registration to the organizer’s email address. The weekend in Złocieniec promises to be a true celebration of sports and orienteering—full of excitement, competition, and positive energy.
