The unique program “Młynarski. Bynajmniej” is a top-notch musical feast—a fusion of magical jazz and the lyrics of one of the most important poets of Polish song, Wojciech Młynarski.
Wojciech Myrczek, a charismatic vocalist, and Piotr Schmidt, a renowned trumpeter and music producer, invite you to a concert inspired by the lyrics of Wojciech Młynarski, featuring new, fresh, and bold arrangements by Krzysztof Herdzin—of songs by composers such as Jerzy Derfel, Janusz Sent, Włodzimierz Nahorny, and Jerzy Wasowski.
Wojciech Młynarski—a consummate master of words who simply called himself a lyricist. A keen observer of the reality of his time, yet his lyrics remain, for the most part, strangely relevant today. A brilliant commentator: sometimes touching, sometimes bitter, never cynical. Wojciech Młynarski, who passed away in 2017, continues to inspire artists who create new interpretations of his well-known lyrics and songs. Among them are Wojciech Myrczek, Piotr Schmidt, and Krzysztof Herdzin, who give Młynarski a jazz twist, yet with respect for tradition and timeless lyrics.
Among the songs selected by the artists are both well-known hits, such as “Bynajmniej,” “Księżyc nad Kościeliskiem,” and “Podchodzą mnie wolne numery,” as well as lesser-known tracks: “Jeżeli przyznać się odważysz” and “Lubię wrony.”
There will be no shortage of virtuoso instrumental performances, as well as a unique atmosphere and stage wit. This will be one of those evenings that will remain in your memory for a long time.
