Slavic traditions and customs will soon return to the Hortulus Spectabilis Gardens, all thanks to the summer solstice celebration. The shortest night of the year—Kupala Night—will take place on Sunday, June 21. We are extending our gardens’ opening hours especially for this occasion. Starting June 21, the Hortulus Spectabilis Gardens will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. But that’s not all!
We’ve prepared many attractions especially for this day.
Visit the exhibition of Slavic beasts, find out which Slavic god is your patron through a horoscope, or take part in an extraordinary adventure searching for the fern flower! Additionally, anyone in costume will be able to tour the garden for free. Note! Costumes must meet certain requirements! Free admission to the gardens is a reward for guests in full costume. Accessories alone (e.g., masks), makeup, or hairstyles will not be considered. The masquerade’s theme is: Elves, fairies, gnomes, and other creatures and monsters. Your costumes must fit this theme.
