From July 29 to August 3, 2026, Szczecin will host the European Trail Orienteering Championships (ETOC 2026)—the most important event in Europe for this sport.
Trail Orienteering is a unique variation of orienteering in which the result is determined primarily by the ability to analyze the map and terrain, rather than by speed. Thanks to this, able-bodied athletes and people with disabilities compete on equal terms, making this discipline one of the most inclusive in the world of sports.
National teams from more than a dozen European countries, as well as guests from outside Europe, will come to Szczecin. Participants will compete in the Bukowa Forest, at the Binowo Park Golf Club, and at other unique locations in Western Pomerania.
The championships offer not only sporting excitement but also an excellent opportunity to promote Szczecin and Western Pomerania as a region that is attractive to tourists, modern, and open to hosting international events. The event program will include, among other things, an opening ceremony, medal ceremonies, and social events for participants.
The event is organized by the BnO Szczecin Orienteering Club Association and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
We warmly invite residents and visitors alike to follow the competitions featuring Europe’s top athletes and cheer them on together during ETOC 2026.
