To present the topic: „How become the best cyclist – friendly place on a bicycle trail” Szymon Nitka was invited, one of the most known Polish promotor of bicycle tourism as a comfortable, friendly and safe way of spending a free time. Szymon Nitka is the author of the blog „Znajkraj” where he shows and desribes the bicycle trails in Poland and Europe.

He widely discussed proven ways to create cyclist-friendly places, regardless of whether they run a hotel, restaurant, campsite or manage a public space. He gave a specific advices on how to become a favourite stop on the route of two-wheel enthusiasts. How to create a space to keep the bicycles safe overnight and in comfortable conditions for the owner. What to provide in the cyclist-friendly places: such as basic tools for repairing bicycles, the information about the nearest bicycle shops and services. He showed solutions to organised space for the bicycle’s parking and where it should be regarding the nature of the place, for example, in a restaurant where it should be arranged in a well-visible place for the bicycle customes.

He gave examples of a well-organised cyclist-friendly places in Poland and Europe as well as examples of bad ways of managing places for cyclists.

The event was addressed to the entrepreneurs in West Pomerania interesed in attracting more bicycle enthusiasts: hotels, restaurant, campsite and public space such as tourist information. To join the webinar they where widely invited by social media event, posts, emails and telephones.
