We present a fact sheet on bicycle mobility and the network of bicycle routes in Western Pomerania, containing the most important data on the development of the network of bicycle routes in Western Pomerania, services for cyclists, and bicycle mobility in the region. The chart presents selected issues illustrated with graphs and maps with data for 2025 (partly with data for 2024). The Regional Spatial Planning Office is responsible for the preparation of the chart, while the data comes from the Marshal's Office or external entities. 

Another edition of the largest cross-border cycling event in Poland has come to an end. The 3rd Polish-German Cycling Tourism Days took place on 27–28 February 2026 at the headquarters of the Marshal's Office of the West Pomeranian Province in Szczecin. With a record number of participants, speakers and exhibitors, the event attracted crowds of cycling enthusiasts.

The industry conference, which took place on 27 February 2026, inaugurated the 3rd Polish-German Cycling Tourism Days (27–28 February 2026). The meeting was crucial for the further development of cycling tourism and transport in the region, as well as for cross-border cooperation. Representatives of local and central government, entrepreneurs and non-governmental organisations gathered in one place to discuss infrastructure, data, certification, trends and the economic potential of the cycling sector.

During the 3rd Polish-German Cycling Tourism Days in Szczecin (27–28 February 2026), an industry conference was held with the participation of representatives of local and central government, entrepreneurs and non-governmental organisations involved in cycling transport and tourism. The key point of the first day of the event was the signing of an agreement between the West Pomeranian Province and the Polish Tourist Organisation concerning the transfer of the application scheme for the database of cycling routes in Poland.

Construction of a route important for cycling enthusiasts is beginning in the municipality of Golczewo. It is part of a cycle route from Berlin via Szczecin to Kołobrzeg. On Tuesday, 17 February 2026, the construction site was officially handed over to the contractor. The ceremony was attended by the Marshal of the Province, Olgierd Geblewicz, Deputy Marshal Jakub Kowalik, Director of the West Pomeranian Provincial Road Authority in Koszalin, Waldemar Wejnerowski, Mayor of Golczewo, Maciej Zieliński, and representatives of the contractor, COLAS.

The conference is aimed at representatives of local and central government, entrepreneurs, and members of non-governmental organizations involved in cycling communication and tourism. At the conference, we will summarize our activities to date, which may serve as inspiration for national cycling policy, and at the same time we would like to draw attention to the challenges facing Poland and Europe. The conference will be held on February 27, 2026, at the headquarters of the Marshal's Office of the West Pomeranian Province at ul. Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego 40 in Szczecin, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is part of the two-day 3rd Polish-German Cycling Tourism Days.

West Pomeranian counties will be able to receive up to half of the expenses, but no more than PLN 4 million, for the reconstruction and modernisation of roads under their jurisdiction. Details of the programme to support the modernisation of district roads in Western Pomerania were presented on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, by Olgierd Geblewicz, Marshal of the West Pomeranian Province, and Jakub Kowalik, Deputy Marshal. Interested districts will be able to apply until 20 February 2026. The final decision will be made by the Regional Council during its session on 31 March.

The Association of Provinces of the Republic of Poland and PZU have signed a letter of intent, formally initiating cooperation on the implementation of the nationwide programme ‘Rowerowa Polska PZU’ (Cycling Poland PZU). The agreement concerns joint activities in the area of safety promotion, education and prevention related to cycling in all provinces.
