This coming Sunday, May 31, Jasne Błonia in Szczecin will host a special event for children—“Sports-Themed Children’s Day”—organized by Pogoń Szczecin FS. It’s a huge celebration of movement, fun, and family time outdoors, combining physical activity with health education, community building, and charitable giving.
Starting at 10:00 a.m., the event office will be open, where participants can pick up their starter kits—a commemorative T-shirt and a task card. This year, a record number of kits have been prepared—as many as 500.
The official start of the festival is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. After a group warm-up, the children will set out to complete special tasks.
From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., games and activities will take place in over a dozen themed zones. Among them will be:
• sports zones run by Pogoń Szczecin FS (soccer), Pogoń Basket Szczecin (basketball), Pogoń Handball (handball), the Sports Champions Club (track and field), and the Szczecin Taekwon-do Sports Club (martial arts)
• the Western Pomerania zone,
• educational and creative zones for children, an ecology zone, a health zone, a first aid zone, a child safety zone, and an arts zone,
There will also be other attractions such as face painting, dance performances, and sports demonstrations.
Another highlight will be expert panels featuring prominent doctors and representatives from the world of sports.
Charity auctions will be an important part of “Sports-Themed Children’s Day.” On stage, attendees will be able to bid on items such as jerseys and balls autographed by players from Pogoń Szczecin, Pogoń Handball, and Pogoń Basket Szczecin, as well as prizes from the event’s partners.
