ABOUT THE BOOK
Szczecin is not just the scent of chocolate and new facades. It is also the scent of oil, salt, and rust—a city built on water and human stories.
“The Maritime Alphabet of Szczecin” is an extraordinary publication comprising over 170 entries—stories about ships that never returned from their voyages, about port conversations, dramas, ambitions, and the pride of seafarers.
This is no tribute—it is a candid, multidimensional portrait of the city. A compendium of knowledge that reads like a fascinating chronicle of Szczecin.
“This is a book for those who want to know where Szczecin truly came from—and for those who believe that a journey into the unknown is still possible.”
— Przemysław Kowalewski – writer, Head of the Development Department.
