Another meeting as part of the "Little Firefighter Academy" project!
The Szczecin Volunteer Fire Department is an organization made up of a group of people united by a passion for fire safety and rescue in the broadest sense. Through meetings at preschools, schools, and various festivals, we aim to share knowledge and experience regarding safety during activities that engage children and youth and foster their awareness of safety. The beneficiaries of the project are the children and teachers of the Lucky Surmaki preschool and daycare center in Szczecin. Their training will, in the future, translate into increased self-awareness, safety, and the ability to take actions that save health and lives. The purchased equipment will be used in these activities to make the training more realistic. The project aims to highlight potential dangers and teach young participants how to handle various difficult situations, such as how to call for help using emergency numbers, how to use a first-aid kit, how to treat a cut or wound, what to do in case of a fire or accident, what to do when carbon monoxide is present, and how to stay safe near water. Participants will also be introduced to the issue of environmental pollution and ways to protect the environment. Additionally, the school’s teachers will be trained in first aid, particularly for children.
